UNIX/Solaris/Windows Systems Engineer:

 

Job Overview   

Installs, configures, maintains, administers and troubleshoots all IS infrastructure technologies. Professionally represents IS to the B&H business community.

• Knowledge of configuration and management of routers and switches.

Job Overview   

Helps to evaluate less complex client area Web application requirements and processes (e.g., updates or maintenance).  In conjunction with the Web graphic design staff, develops and prepares Web software/package solutions which may involve diverse platforms, data bases, software, hardware, technologies and tools.

Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in network and network security configuring routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, IDS/IPS, VPN, VLAN and other network equipment in an enterprise environment.

 

Responsibilities

Accountabilities, Tasks, and Deliverables:

• Creates, implements, maintains and assures compliance with technical security standards and procedures within B&H.

• Installs, configures, maintains, monitors and troubleshoots all wired and wireless network and network-security infrastructure for both internal and business-facing equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.).

• Works with systems engineers for implementation of defined security policies at the system and network level (i.e. servers, routers and switches).

• In collaboration with the information security analyst, works with all areas of B&H as necessary for implementation of defined technical security policies.

• Monitors information sources regarding emerging security threats, such as new viruses and newly discovered vulnerabilities, and coordinates with other IS staff as necessary for prevention and timely remediation.

• Formulates, develops and implements integrated network architectures engineered to address the company's current and anticipated requirements.

• Maintains documentation regarding network and network security configurations, operating procedures, and service records.

• Participates in after-hours team rotation.

• Constantly improves and maintains project management and technical skills required by B&H's technological direction.

Qualifications

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of total experience as an IT engineer, with 2+ years of experience in network and network security configuring routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, IDS/IPS, VPN, VLAN and other network equipment in an enterprise environment.

• Experience with network and security architecture.

• Extensive troubleshooting experience with networking and routing issues.

• Experience with LAN/WAN performance measurement and tuning.

• Expertise in Checkpoint firewall products.

• Knowledge of other security tools and products, such as Cisco PIX.

Position Summary

Rhodes Associates has been retained by a well established family office which owns real estate assets on a national basis to identify and recruit a Senior Asset/Portfolio Manager.  The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in all aspects of asset/portfolio management for a significant portfolio across multiple categories (including retail, multifamily, office and residential) for the family office and in conjunction with operating and joint venture partners.  Duties will include oversight of property management, workout of properties, restructuring/refinancing, hold/sell recommendations, loan covenant oversight, and property improvement/redevelopment. The position is based in the New York Metro area and will report to the Principals. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Principals, develop a strategic plan for assets (short and long term), including hold/sell, financing and capital improvement strategy.
  • Responsible for the creation, review, presentation and approval of the annual business plan, leasing plan, capital program and operating budgets for family controlled assets.
  • Develop marketing and leasing guidelines and promotion programs; review lease terms, tenant improvement plans and budgets; obtain counsel from management, leasing and property management personnel.
  • Assess and, when appropriate, make final recommendation to sell an asset and manage the sales process, including selecting brokers, negotiating the Purchase and Sale Agreement, facilitating buyer's due diligence activities, and expediting closings (liaise with external counsel on Purchase & Sale Contract).

  • 15 - 20+ years of asset management experience.
